Greek Chicken Burger

Yields: 4 burgers

Herbed chicken burger with loads of veggies.

Ingredients:

  • 1 Goldhen Egg
  • 1 lb. ground chicken or ground turkey
  • 1/4 cup Grandessa Signature Artichokes, chopped
  • 1/4 cup onion, diced
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp. Stonemill Essentials Oregano
  • 1 tsp. Stonemill Essentials Basil
  • 1 tsp. Stonemill  Essentials Parsley Flakes
  • 1 tsp. Stonemill Essentials Salt
  • 1 tsp. Stonemill Essentials Black Pepper
  • 1/2 cup Rice Bowl Instant Rice, cooked
  • 1 tsp. Nature's Nectar Lemon Juice
  • 1/4 cup red pepper, minced
  • 4 L'oven Fresh Hamburger Buns
  • 4 oz. edenVale Feta Cheese
  • 4 oz. Grandessa Signature Original Hummus
  • Lettuce, to taste
  • 1 cucumber, sliced
  • 1 tomato, sliced

Directions:

  1. Heat grill to a medium/high temperature.
  2. Beat egg in a medium sized bowl.
  3. Add ground chicken or turkey, artichokes, onion, minced garlic, oregano, basil, parsley, salt, pepper, rice, lemon juice and minced red pepper. Mix together until incorporated.
  4. Divide and flatten into 4 evenly sized patty shapes and let sit in the fridge for 5 minutes.
  5. Place patties on the grill and cook for 6-8 minutes each side until desired doneness.
  6. Lightly grill the bun and set aside.
  7. Place 1 oz. of feta cheese on top of each burger.  Continue to grill until cheese is melted and soft. Remove from heat.
  8. Spread hummus on both sides of the bun.
  9. To assemble the burger, layer the bottom of the bun with the patty with lettuce, cucumber, tomato and top half of bun.
